About

DA Seminar Program

Every semester, Durham Academy offers an ungraded, interdisciplinary, one- or two-day learning experience on a topic of current interest.  It offers students a chance to

  • interact with acknowledged experts in a given field
  • explore a topic outside the school’s formal curriculum
  • fulfill curiosity and engage in learning for its own sake

The topic for each semester is announced 4-6 weeks ahead of time, and students apply to participate.  They are excused from classes and arrange with their teachers a schedule for making up missed work.
